Mario Farnbacher returns to the Nürburgring on 20th August. The Franconian will again be taking part in the VLN Langstreckenmeisterschaft on the Nordschleife, driving for the Farnbacher Racing Team. The focus is on testing new car parts for the next season.
After the recent IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship round, the 24-year-old now proceeds to the sixth race of the VLN Langestreckenmeisterschaft season. Top priority is also a podium finish and as his Lexus RC F GT3 finished the fifth VLN race in just fourth place, the young German is now obviously aiming for the lead.
“I’m very much looking forward to the Nürburgring race”, Farnbacher states and adds: “After racing in the States, it’s a great feeling to be able to compete on the Nordschleife in front of a home crowd.”
In addition to achieving a podium finish, special attention will be paid to the further development of the car. The team has new car components for the coming Lexus on board and these will be tried out with the present RC F GT3 for the first time. Qualifying begins on Saturday 20th August at 8:30, the 4h race starts at midday.
