Motivation is high for Mid-Ohio race

After the two less than optimal endurance classics in Daytona and Sebring, Mario Farnbacher aims to head back onto the success track with his team mate Trent Hindmann at the first sprint race of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season on the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

The Meyer Shank Racing squad has proved more than once in the 2019 season, that the Acura NSX GT3’s new development stage is competitive. „We’ve got a great car and it already proved its worth, in particular with the Sebring pole”, said Mario Farnbacher.

After two races, the Acura driver ranks fourth in the championship standings, 18 points behind the lead. „The season’s start wasn’t ideal, but there’s still plenty of time and we’re within striking distance of the top of the table. Now it’s time to convert our potential into a good result.”

With 15 registrations the GTD car class is once again the most competitive in the season’s third race. The race at the Lexington track in the state of Ohio runs for 2.40 hours.

The race starts at 19.35 CEST and will be broadcasted free via live stream.
