Mario joins AMG-Team Riley Motorsports for NAEC

Mario Farnbacher will return to the North American Endurance Cup (NAEC) in 2017, this time driving a Mercedes-AMG GT3 for AMG-Team Riley Motorsports. The 24-year-old German is set to partner up with full-season drivers Ben Keating and Jeroen Bleekemolen, with British driver Adam Christodoulou joining the trio for the first round at the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

The NAEC forms part of the IMSA SportsCar Championship and takes in four classic endurance races on the North American motorsport calendar: the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the Twelve Hours of Sebring, the Six Hours of the Glen and Petit Le Mans. “It’s great to have an opportunity to work with such an experienced team as Riley Motorsports; I can’t wait to get down to work,” Farnbacher said. “The Mercedes-AMG GT3 is a great car and I we should be a formidable prospect for the coming season. We’ve got a great chance of competing for NAEC honours.”

„Farnbacher is by no means short of NAEC pedigree, having already tasted victory at Petit Le Mans and at Sebring in the past. For 2017, all sights are set one thing: securing the NAEC title. The season kicks off with the Rolex 24 at Daytona on 28 and 29 January.
