Mario Farnbacher brought his 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season to a close with a fighting if frustrating performance at Road Atlanta. The two-time GTD-class IMSA champion looked to close out his maiden season with Forte Racing with a strong result at the 10-hour Petit Le Mans, an event the German native has twice won previously. Sadly the #78 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 was involved in an on-track incident early on, was eventually retired on safety grounds at two-thirds distance.
